In this blog, I will be talking about the Mexican music culture because people need to understand what exactly it is that Mexicans listen to. Many people think of the stereotypical trumpets and women in colorful dresses with men riding their horses and having big Sombreros, but this is not the case. So, first, I would like to start with the 60s- 70s to give an overarching idea of how Mexico was back then. The music was typically very high-pitched formal romance music. Some famous artists were Leo Dan and Jose Jose. Who, at the time, were two renowned artists who were most known for their romance music. One of the songs made was Mary es Mi Amor- by Leo dan and Amar y Querer. The song in the first video is by Jose, and the song in the second video is by Leo Dan.
